This treatment needs a patch test up to 48 hours before your appointment. Pop into any salon, no booking needed.

What it is

IPL set to target melanin. The light energy is absorbed by the pigment in a sun spot or patch of uneven tone, which breaks up and lifts to the surface before flaking away over the following days.

It runs on the same Lynton platform and is booked under the same rejuvenation pricing as thread veins.

What it treats

Age spots, liver spots and sun damage respond well, particularly on the face, chest and backs of the hands where years of UV exposure accumulate.

Melasma is a different condition with a hormonal driver, and light-based treatment can sometimes make it worse. If that is what you have, say so at the consultation so we can steer you towards something more appropriate.

What to expect

Treated spots usually darken before they fade, which surprises people who have not been warned. They lift and flake off over roughly a week.

Sun protection afterwards is not optional. Treated skin is more vulnerable to UV, and going back into the sun undoes exactly what you have paid to correct.
