Before your consultation

Questions people ask first

How much do dermal fillers cost in Bristol?

From £210, which covers your consultation plus the first millilitre, whether that is lips, cheeks, chin, jawline or nasolabial folds. Each additional millilitre is £180. There is no separate consultation fee on top.

How much is a second millilitre of filler?

A second millilitre adds £180, and the same rate applies to every millilitre after that. Whether you need more than one is a question for the consultation, because the answer depends on how much volume has actually been lost.

How long does filler last?

Nine months to two years. Filler placed deep in a still area such as the temple lasts far longer than filler in the lips, which move constantly. Your practitioner will give you a realistic figure for your treatment.

Is dermal filler good for your face?

Used properly it restores volume that has been lost, which supports the structures above it. Your practitioner assesses the whole face rather than filling a line directly. The "pillow face" people fear comes from over-volumising, not from volumising at all.

Do you offer fillers that last five years?

No, and we would steer you away from anyone who does. Every filler we use is hyaluronic acid based and can be dissolved with a prescription medication if you are unhappy or if there is a complication. That is why we do not offer permanent fillers.

How long does anti-wrinkle treatment last?

Typically three to six months. Results appear over the following days rather than immediately. Some people metabolise it faster than others, so how long yours lasts is a poor predictor of anyone else’s.

Will I look frozen?

Not if the dose is matched to your muscle strength and the result you want. The aim is softening, not paralysis. Tell your practitioner at the consultation how much movement you want to keep.

How long does Profhilo last?

Two sessions four weeks apart is the standard starting course, with results lasting up to six months. Most people then have one or two treatments a year. Generally recommended from around age 30.

What is the difference between a skin booster and a filler?

A filler adds volume and shape in one place. A skin booster spreads through the skin to improve hydration, elasticity and quality without changing your facial structure. They solve different problems and are often used together.

Why are no product or brand names listed on this page?

The anti-wrinkle treatment is a prescription-only medicine, and UK rules prohibit advertising prescription-only medicines to the public. Clinics listing those brand names are in breach. Everything relevant is covered at your consultation, in person.
