What it is
Dermal fillers are injectable gels that add hydration and structure where volume has been lost. As skin ages it loses elasticity and collagen, and the face changes shape: hollows appear, cheeks flatten and lines settle in.
Every filler used here is hyaluronic acid based. That means it can be dissolved with a prescription medication if you are unhappy or if there is a complication. That reversibility is a genuine safety feature and a good reason to avoid anyone offering permanent fillers.
It’s a gel, not a liquid, and it is designed to hold its shape rather than migrate once it’s in place. The amount used is small. Most areas take well under a millilitre to make a visible difference, which is one reason over-filling is a choice, not an inevitability.
Volume, not just filling lines
Rather than simply filling in a line, your practitioner assesses the whole face first. Often the better answer is restoring volume to the area that has deflated, which supports the structures above it, rather than chasing the line itself.
The fear we hear most often is ending up with a "pillow face". That comes from over-volumising, not from volumising at all. Think of it as scaffolding: the point is support, and the right amount of it is usually less than people expect.

Lip enhancement
Lip fillers in Bristol are the most requested treatment on this page. Most people start with up to 0.5ml, which adds shape and hydration without changing how your mouth looks in conversation. A full 1ml gives more visible volume, and is usually where people land after a first, smaller treatment, rather than starting there. Either amount is placed to keep the lip looking like a lip, not a different shape entirely.
Cheeks and mid-face
Cheek filler restores the volume that flattens with age, lifting the mid-face rather than just adding width. It’s often the area that makes the biggest difference to how tired or rested you look, because it supports everything below it. Jawline, nasolabial folds and under-eye hollows all improve indirectly once the cheek itself is addressed first.
Chin and jawline
Jawline filler in Bristol is usually about definition rather than size: a firmer line from ear to chin, and a chin that’s in proportion with the rest of the face. It’s a popular non-surgical alternative to jaw contouring, and for many people a subtle change here does more for the side profile than any other single area.
Nasolabial folds and marionette lines
These are the lines that run from nose to mouth corner, and from mouth corner down towards the chin. Filling them directly can look unnatural if the surrounding volume hasn’t been addressed first, which is why your practitioner will usually look at cheek support before treating the lines themselves.
Non-surgical nose reshaping
Filler can smooth a bump or lift a drooping tip without surgery, though it can only add volume, not remove it: a nose that needs reducing needs a surgeon, not a filler. This is one of the more technical areas to treat well, and is discussed properly at consultation before anything is agreed.
What dermal fillers cost in Bristol
Every treated area starts at £210, which includes the consultation and the first ml. Each additional ml is £180, so 2ml comes to £390 in total. There’s no extra charge for the consultation itself if you go ahead with treatment on the day.
We price by the millilitre rather than the syringe, because syringe sizes vary between brands and a "syringe" isn’t a fixed amount. We don’t offer permanent fillers either. Anything marketed as lasting forever carries a much higher complication risk long after the person who injected it has moved on. That’s the opposite of the safety net you actually want.
Comfort and aftercare
Complimentary numbing cream is applied before treatment, and cannulas rather than sharp needles can be used where appropriate, which may reduce the chance of bruising.
Every patient goes home with an aftercare sheet for the evening after treatment. That matters: any practitioner injecting filler should be reachable if something concerns you once you’re home, not just during salon hours.
How long it lasts
Between nine months and, in some cases, up to two years. The variables are which product is used, where it goes and how deep it sits.
Filler placed deep in a relatively still area such as the temple lasts considerably longer than filler in the lips, which move constantly. Your practitioner will give you a realistic figure for your specific treatment at the consultation, not a generic number lifted from a price list.
If you’d rather skip needles altogether, needle-free skin tightening works on skin quality and firmness instead, though it doesn’t replace lost volume the way filler does.
