What it is
Silky mink extensions applied one lash at a time onto your own lashes. Because each one is placed individually, the set can be shaped to your eyes rather than applied as a uniform strip.
You lie with your eyes closed for the duration, which most people find unexpectedly restful.
Choosing a set
Express is 20 to 30 lashes per eye and takes about 45 minutes. It gives you definition without a dramatic change, and is a sensible first booking.
A half set is 35 to 40 lashes per eye. A full classic set is 80 to 120 per eye and is the properly transformative option, the one people book for weddings.
If you are not sure, start smaller. Adding more at your infill appointment is easy, and going straight to a full set when you wanted subtlety is a longer conversation.
Keeping them
Your natural lashes shed on their own cycle and extensions go with them, so plan on infills roughly every three weeks.
If you would rather not commit to a maintenance schedule, an LVL lash lift enhances your own lashes for six to eight weeks with no infills at all.
Patch test and suitability
Patch test and suitability: Pop into any salon at least 24 hours before treatment for your patch test. No appointment is needed and it takes a couple of minutes. Tell your therapist about any previous reaction to tint or products used around the eyes. If the skin around your eyes is irritated or broken on the day, contact the salon before attending so the therapist can confirm whether to proceed.
