What we offer
Chest, back, and back and chest together are the most commonly booked. Intimate waxing takes around 45 minutes, and a full body wax removes everything from the neck down.
Full body is carried out by two therapists working together, which is partly about time and partly about comfort. Intimate waxing is done lying down.
Before you come in
You need at least half an inch of hair for waxing to work, and no shaving within three weeks of your appointment. If your hair is very long, clipping it shorter beforehand makes the treatment more comfortable.
We take a full name and phone number when you book intimate waxing.
The awkward question
It comes up, so: arousal during intimate waxing happens occasionally and our therapists are entirely used to it. It is a normal physical response to touch and nobody in the room is going to make it a thing. Please do not let it stop you booking.
Aftercare for the first 48 hours
Skip saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, hot baths and sunbeds. Cool or lukewarm water is fine. Avoid tanning of any kind, including fake tan, and avoid swimming and chlorinated water.
No sport, gym or sexual activity for 24 to 48 hours. Wash with an antibacterial skin wash or add Dead Sea salts to the bath, wear clean underwear and avoid tight clothing that rubs.
Do not touch the area with unwashed hands, and leave off deodorants, body sprays, powders and lotions apart from anything your therapist recommends.
Longer term
Gently scrub the area three times a week starting a few days after your appointment, and moisturise, which is the most effective thing you can do against ingrown hairs.
A little regrowth a week or so afterwards is normal. It can take up to four treatments before the hair settles into a common growth cycle and you see the full benefit, so judge it on the fourth appointment rather than the first.
