What it is

Guinot facials are built around thermal technology and Dynamic Ionisation. The machine drives concentrated hyaluronic acid and vitamins into the skin, while the applicator warms as it works across the face and neck.

We were named Guinot Salon of the Year in 2019, judged against Guinot salons nationwide. It is the only industry award we have entered.

The menu has ten treatments because different skin concerns need different approaches. The range covers congestion, dryness, fine lines, loss of firmness and radiance loss.

Who it suits

Guinot works particularly well for mature skin. Hydradermie Jeunesse and the Hydradermie Lift treatments target fine lines, loss of firmness and radiance loss. Hydra Summum and Lift Summum are the deeper options for more pronounced ageing concerns.

For younger skin, Hydraclean and Équilibre Pureté focus on congestion and oiliness. Eye Lift is a focused treatment for the eye area.

Every treatment includes a complimentary Guinot for Life consultation. Your therapist will look at your skin and explain which treatment is worth booking. It is not always the most expensive one.

Choosing between the treatments

Hydradermie treatments are the institute classics and a sensible starting point for many clients. Hydradermie Jeunesse focuses on signs of ageing, while Hydradermie Lift 1000 focuses on firmness and facial contour.

The Summum treatments take a deeper anti-ageing approach. Lift Summum concentrates on firmness, while Hydra Summum focuses on hydration.

Choose Hydraclean or Équilibre Pureté for congestion and oiliness rather than ageing. Eye Lift suits a concern limited to the eye area. If you want a vitamin-led alternative, see Environ facials. For a resurfacing-led alternative at Clifton Down, see HydraFacial. A muscle-toning facial is covered by the CACI facial page.

How the session runs

Your therapist cleanses your skin, then applies the chosen treatment with the thermal applicator. It heats gently as it moves across your face and neck, depending on the treatment you have booked.

The appointment is comfortable and non-invasive. There is no stinging or peeling during the session. Treatment times range from 30 minutes for Hydraclean to 60 minutes for Hydradermie Lift 1000 and Hydradermie Jeunesse.

Afterwards

There is no downtime. You can return to your day and apply makeup straight away. Skin feels softer and looks brighter immediately after the appointment.

Sessions and results

A single treatment gives immediate brightening and softness. For ongoing changes in fine lines, firmness or tone, many clients book monthly or fortnightly sessions. Your therapist can recommend a suitable rhythm at the consultation.
